How do you fly the Iris F-35 and the Harrier?

I'm talking about Vertical Take offs / landings. I always go backwards and I'm not exactly sure how to use the rudder (No button shows for a rudder control)

Usually, the VTOL is controlled by the flap command.  If you go full flaps, you go backwards.  Try giving it an "F7" after setting them full back with the "F8".

Doesn't F7 Make it go back more?

Yer right! I should have said "F6". (Too much multitasking Fiddling with FRAPS, FSRecorder, installing aircraft, Repainting, thumbnailing, Uploading.....   Spoon!   :D  )

If you are not using the automatic rudder option, the default key commands are numberpad "0" and numberpad "enter".  It's eaier to use a "twisty" joystick, though.

rudder controls are the exact same that you would use for helos.     VTOL characteristics are those of trying to fly a helo.   in other words, if you can fly a helo... treat the VTOL as one and you should do fine (other than to get into VTOL put your flaps down)
