Accelleration VC problem after re-install

Postby Rudderbutt » Fri Aug 13, 2010 6:06 pm

After re-installing windows xp home (32) I re-installed FSX then Acceleration. I find that the glass gauges in the F-18 and the Augusta Westland do not display at all.
The glass cockpit Mooney and Cessna that are part of the original Deluxe FSX are fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks all....

Did you run fsx before installing accleration. it seems to be part of the requirement for fsx to set it self up properly. Ie install fsx. do a short flight, exit then insatll acceration, which will install sp1 and 2 in its process.

I'm not sure if I did nor not...
I guess I should just uninstall everything and do just that.
Thanks

I just finished uninstalling and re-installing FSX and then Acceleration (after a few flights in FSX per mjrhealth's suggestion.)
the problem persists. no gauges in the F-18 or Augusta chopper.
When I uninstalled, I left the save flights, etc., folders intact.
Maybe I should do it again and not save those.
Any ideas?

Thanks

You said you reinstalled XP.
Did you update the various libraries, like .NET Framework and C++ Runtimes ?

I believe I did update .NET Framework. I recall having some errors or something and having to update that. I'm not sure about C++runtimes.
