my downloads won't show up

I have an aspiring 8 year old pilot and we have tried to download several add-ons for him.

first thing first be more specific.
-are you running win XP or vista or win 7?
-what version of fsx do you have?
-what airplane do you want to download?
- where did you download it?
this way you'll have more chance to get an answer!

well i don't have win 7, so have a look in the section flight sim x faqs. you will find some info there. and i'm sure that many issues about win 7 have been addresses in these forums somewhere . so try to use the search option at the top of the forum pages. sorry.

I will try and get a picture setup of an aircraft I am downloading atm, if you find how to get it working before hand just post on this thread.

Check to make sure that you do not have any extrafiles needed in there. Some times people will have multiple folders, using the desktop as the download location
Desktop>B19>B19
If you move that first B19 into your aircraft folder you will not see it(This is where I and others normally mess up, especially our first time)



Note:*** Step 2-3 may have a Gauges or a effects
