Cessna 182T in FSX

Postby Gringo6 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 10:31 pm

I've moved a Cessna 182S from FS9 to FSX, and it seems to work pretty well. Now I want to make it into a 182T with the glass cockpit. I've tried to just "alias"  the panel to the Mooney Bravo and the Cessna 172 panels and they seem to work more or less except that the airspeed and the altitude do not register. The engine instruments and autopilot work.
The instruments on the mini-panel register airspeed and altitude.

Has anybody figured how to use the Glass Panels on imported airplanes such as the 182S ?

In case it is significant I'm using Windows Vista home premium.

I don't see how you used a panel from another aircraft and got the VC to look ok. You would have to build the panel yourself using default gauges, either by hand editing the panel.cfg (extremely hard) or by using FS Panel Studio. (payware.)

Not really sure about all this. It's not making much sense in my small mind.  :D

Well - what I want is a Cessna 182 with the GARMIN1000 panel. This was an experiment to see if I could get one.

The VC is of no interest to me since I  don't use it anyway.

Don't know when it's due out, but there's a G1000-equipped 182 being developed by F1...
