fsx crashes and restarts and keeps freezing.

Help. FSX keeps crashing and also keeps freezng so if you try to changethe view it does it eventually but almost as though it is in slow motion.

Are the specs of your computer up to the minimum requirements of FSX?  If you only have the minimum, you can only run FSX at minimum settings. and it still will run poorly.  Otherwise, try setting all your scenery, weather, and traffic sliders in the "Settings" menus to minumum, and see if it still acts the same.  If it works better, bring up your sliders in steps until things start going bad.

hi thanks for that. i have been usinf fsx wit this pc for a couple of years. I am going to try a repair, as I did as you instructed but it is still playing up!!

I think your computer is overheating.
It might be the CPU or the videocard.
You should open it and try to clean it, removing as much dust as you can.

And check to make sure the fans ae running!  My CPU fan went out a couple of monts ago, and though it did not cause any crashing or restarts, things would start acting glitchy, like jumpy frame rates.
