Interesting, being a solo glider pilot I'd like to look at the tug, having only very recently purchased fsx gold I didn't know it had a an aerotow option.

Overall, even without seeing it or having tried the gliders in fsx, it's going to have to be very good and make me feel like I'm in a glider, the glider sim SOTS Gold does this.

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.

Gliding in FSX will never be as good as in a real gliding sim like Condor, of course.
Nevertheless, you can still make it an enjoyable gliding simulation with the following addons:
- Aerotow, for changing and guiding the towing plane, as well as WinchX to simulate the winch launch.
- CumulusX! to create ridge lift according to the terrain shape and current winds, dynamically.
- a good landclass, mesh and scenery in the place you want to fly.

That's the strong point of FS, you can fly anywhere you want, you're not limited like in the other sims. That's a great compensation to the relative lack of realism of the thermals in FS. In the end, you get a "credible" experience nevertheless, and even a very pleasant exploration from time to time, depending where you fly.

I do most of my gliding in the Alps in Switzerland, from Interlaken, Meiringen or Alpnach, and even Sion sometimes. I have installed a good landclass and an excellent mesh, that makes the whole Alps very detailled. Gliding there is really cool, even if the thermals are not 100% realistic.

I'm looking for it now.

Sometimes the search function can be a little, finicky.  ;)

So.....you could change it to the F-18 if you have Acceleration? That could get interesting!

Thanks again for the hard search, Shane.
I found by accident that Google usually does a pretty good job in searching the topics in Simviation... much better than the default search engine sometimes :)
