Found this description for your download:

Lockheed C-5B Altus AFB. Original model for FS2004 by Mike Stone. Modified for FSX and FD tweaked by Douglas E. Trapp FS Flight Dynamics Engineer. Uses Boeing 747-400 2d panel. No virtual cockpit

That may be part of the issue.

It would help to know which version of FSX you are running and whether or not you have Acceleration or either of the SPs installed, as certain combinations of these have been known to have issues with FS2004 addons.

I've had a browse through the download, and everything appears to be in order, so I'm going to install it and see what happens.  ;)

I get the same problem as you.

I've got FSX deluxe with Acceleration, and as soon as I click on the C5 and select 'OK'

Hi lads, we can't all be wrong, must be a problem  somewhere, I'm running fsx acc, as well but on Vista, I've not long downloaded the fsx f1v 25_2 Gmax mirage biggish file, but when it shows on the runway the vc looks good, but then the glass goes grey and the whole lot freezes, maybe there needs to be more tests before they are released to us, lets keep trying.

where did you get the mirage from?  Links would be nice so that we can get the planes / files that you are having problems with, take a look at it, and then give you a solution to the problem.

I knew if anyone could get it, it would be Doug.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I find that if they don't work out of the .zip file, it just isn't worth messing with anymore. And half the time, I wonder if these 'conversion jobs' aren't what introduces most of my problems.  ::)   ;)

Thanks Doug! It works like a charm,  but I'm still removing it.  ;D

I'm back, spot on works perfect, well done, I'm gonna push my luck now and ask you to take a look at the FLV25_2, GMAX mirage, the vc cockpit is a funny shade, I've tried using DXTBmp, using dark grey, the glass is clear but there's something else showing through, a patchy background, thanks again and well done.

Sorry, I'm not sure this can be fixed.
