missions and gps

Postby EVVFCX » Tue May 04, 2010 6:53 am

Hi all,

Just got FSX Gold edition and working my way through the missions.

On the Mountain mission, the briefing states the flight plan has been loaded into the GPS but when I open the gps 'window' there's no flight plan running, no follow the 'green line' on the display.

I don't yet know where the flight plans are kept and how to load them.

I did the mission OK without the GPS but would be nice if I could use it ;D - i very rarely used it on fs9, just didn't bother with it.

cheers Steve
May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.

Steve - the flight plan, if there is one, should be in your
...\Microsoft Simulator X\Missions\xxxxxx\yyyyyy file, where
xxxxxx is the category of the mission, and
yyyyy is the name of the mission - this may be Mountain?
If there is a flight plan, then it will be named 'Mountain.PLN'.
If it isn't there, then, I guess, the GPS won't display any flight plan.....
Hope this helps!
Cheers - Dai (Wales UK).
