Probs with just flight and FSX

Hi Guys,

I've just bought FSX gold edition and installed OK apart from the SDK which doesn't show up.

I've installed the shuttle OK using Just Flights patch but the Tornado addon, (ok in fs2004) I take off, full power with afterburners and they stay on even with throttle fully back.
If I look at external view while i throttle back, I see the afterburners go off then after a few seconds come back on again, autopilot/airspeed hold is not ON.
I throttle back a bit more and same things, eventually they go off - anybody any ideas? just flight are aware via email.
Also, turn on the HUD and nothing appears.

Now, having only just installed FSX I'm not aware of it's features, the tornado's refuelling probe is controlled in fs2004 by using the water rudder control - Shift  + W, I'm presuming this not setup already in FSX as the probe stays out.

This is what happens with Abacus addons for me.  Someone illuminate us on how to fix this.

Just a thought.......

I had problems with Abacus add-ons also.  Til I turned the "user account control" off.  That's the annoying little Vista feature that opens up a plethora of 'permission' boxes whenever you go to change/modify anything.

SDK is on the cd. you need to browse to it and install it from there. As for fs9 planes, FSX did change the was a few things work, so some planes have issues. But as previous person said, if using vista turn UAC off, even better install fsx in another directory outisde of the programs file directory, save a few headaches.

Hi Guys,
I'm on XP not Vista so less problems, permission wise,
Slight typing error on my part ref: the refuelling probe problem, its control + W, it works on the eurofighter but not the tornado, I'll have to check further.

The SDK? , I had installed it from the dvd, as far as I understood the instructions, it is supposed to show up within FSX on the menus but cannot find it.

I have all my 'games' installed on another drive, not on 'C' drive

If the sdk elements are not showing in the 'in game Tools menu' you may have to activate them manually.
