Adding aircraft to Airports.

Postby bucaneer » Sun Apr 18, 2010 2:54 pm

Hello everyone,
Wondering what is best way to add some static military aircraft to bases in U.K.
I have ADEX9 and also SDK installed. I am running FSX Deluxe plus Acceleration. I installed SP1a from the Acceleration disc.
Everyone says that if you have Acceleration installed then you are running with SP2. So why would I be asked to install SP1a from the Acceleration disc before I can run SDK.
Glad for any info.Thanks.

You need to use the opject placement tool in the tools menu in the sdk.  http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=Object_Placement_Tool.  You can download some static objects from SimV in the misc section, I believe.
Asus G71GX-RX05 from BestBuy.

Thank's for that, have been messing around with the object placement tool today. From what I can make out this is used in sdk for mission creation. Need to find out more about the software though. Can you say for instance that I can update a stock airport in FSX to include say a squaron of Tornados, or is it ADEx9 that I will need to use.

Abacus' Scenery Shortcut-is a freeware tool that will convert mission objects placed with the Object Placement Tool to standard scenery, viewable all the time.

You have to go thru the 'checkout' to download, but the price is $0.

You can also place library objects with ADE9X, as part of an airport project. You're placing objects in the ADE workspace which can be a little more tedious than the 'live view' the Object Placer Tool provides.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
