Megascenery Southrn Cal

I had problems with the Megascenery Southern Cal previous to doing a clean install particularly pertaining to the airport ground scenery (patchy, blocked and looks green in many spots). Now that I have reloaded FSX and loaded FSX Acceleration, would it my worthwhile to load the scenery software back? Also anyone have experience with the new Abacus Exteneded Scenery program?

Never owned it...  Was anything in the scenery settings config screwy, like 'land detail textures', or something like that, left unchecked?  I'd try it again.  Never owned it, though, so I can't speak from experience.  Ps, I wouldn't bother with anything Abacus.
