FSX wont load flight!

hey all. i havent posted on here in a while but i finally got a new computer and got fsx and everything installed on it. but im having a problem loading most flights. the game loads up to around 86%, when it starts to load air, land, and sea traffic, but then it stops loading completely, and FSX doesnt respond. ive tried reducing my traffic setting to minimal but with no luck. i have My Traffic X installed. any ideas as to how i can fix this?

Have you tried loading it without 'Traffic X'?

previously when i first installed fsx yes. and it still starts with very minimal traffic, but i have no traffic at major airports

OK, you got a new pc, you are saying that you installed FSX (and everything installed on it). Did you install FSX and ran it (let's say clean) before you added everything else? When you say you are having a problem [glow=yellow,2,300]loading most flights[/glow] are you saying that you can get some flights to work? And did this happen after you installed Traffic X?

OK we're going to work backwards here;

First uninstall Traffic X,,,,,,,,, If your sim is working than traffic X might have got corrupted.

Second, if you get some flights to load, is it certain aircraft that don't let some flights to load? If that's the case than those aircraft are corrupt.

Third, if you installed FSX and added to it before you fired it up, than you might have corrupted the FSX.cfg file, you can try deleteing the cfg, fire up the sim (it will write a new one) and see if it's back to normal.

4th, if worse comes to worse you can try the repair mode, but I would uninstall all addons first, than repair,
if that don't work than you might have to do a complete reinstall off FSX, and run it clean before adding stuff, and you should add things one at a time instead of bundled up ( FSX is sensitive like that) so you will know if something screws up the sim. Good luck!

i tried to uninstall mytrafficx but now when i open FSX it  says missing SCENERY.CFG. and say the file MyTraffic\scenery was not found. and then when i try to load a flight, it gets to 100% but then the game closes and i am brought back to the desktop. i think i made it worse  :-/

Most likely than it seems that traffic x corrupted FSX, did you try what I suggested, Delete the fsx.cfg and if that doesn't work did you try the repair option? Other than that you might have to reinstall fsx.

yes i think i got it working. it now only happens at flytampas tncm. or else thats all that ive found so far..

Good to hear your up and running. I'm not familiar with flytampas tncm, but one corrupt file can screw up the whole sim. I'd delete flytampas tncm , do a complete search for any lingering files relating to flytampas tncm, run the sim to make sure it's back to normal, and than reinstall flytampas tncm and see if that helps to get flytampas tncm working right, good luck!
