FSX Voice problem

Hi guys i recently uninstalled FSX & reinstalled it because i was having difficulty with the sim. But when i reinstalled it in the week i set up my IFR flight plan and there is no ATC voice and no pilot voices to  be heard. So i went into my FSX settings, General and was suprised to see no pilot voices in the ATC section. The box is blank. if anyone has any solutions on how to repair this problem i'm having can you please get back to me thank you.

Have you tried putting the first disk back in and running install again, you should have the option to repair.

No i dont want to be doing that because i will loose everything ive done it before and FSX came corrupted.

Check for the 'voicepack' file: ..\\Sound\ATC\USEnglishBig.gvp

Dose the USEnglishBig.gvp file have to be there because i went into Sound, ATC and USEnglishBig.gvp is there.

Right it's a shame because i tried repairing the game restarted my computer went into FSX and on startup i get a Fatal Error message here is the problem signature: Problem signature

Can't help with that, Victor. Never had problems with my FSX install. Others have, so maybe someone else can help.

The only thing I could suggest is the common suggestion.... move your fsx.cfg file to a safe place, and then start the sim and it will build a new one.

If you do have to uninstall/reinstall, you should follow the guidelines in the FAQ at the top the FSX forum.
