Deleting

Postby Flying Trucker » Sat Feb 27, 2010 5:00 pm

Good evening all... :)

Not sure if this has been asked before.

Does it hurt my computer program FSX if I start to delete some aircraft that came with the program?  Also I do not use helicopters and jets and several came with Acceleration when I installed it.
I would also like to know about deleting areas in the Scenery Library.  Places I do not use and names of cities.

Now I certainly do not need the memory as I have twice as much as FSX requires but I was just wondering about deleting some of this stuff that I do not use.

By deleting this stuff will it have any impact on the operation of FSX?

Thanks in advance... :)

Hi Doug,

Deleting this stuff will not bring anythng good.
Concerning the aircrafts, deleting the default might eventually prevent some addons to work if they alias the default for sounds, or gauges for example.
I'm more worried about the sceneries, but at least you can deactivate the areas you do not use in the scenery library, instead of completely deleting the files.

I agree with Daube, That default stuff isn't running in the background and scenery priority can be changed.
