Weird clouds

OK, I'm finally going to ask this one.
Below this weird formation, you can't see anything. But when you go above this formation, their is a white layer, so thin that you can't see it, one side or the other.
I thought it might be a weird thing with light bloom, but I have that off since Nicks Sun Fix has some issues...
I'm off to have some specs on what altitude...

Everytime I pass from 39,000' to 40,000' I go through a thin what layer, is that what you are talking about?  I always figured it had something to do with FSX or that it had something to do with realy life, there is just that kind of layer at that altitude.

Those are called the cirrus cloud.

No it's not the cirrus clouds  ::)
I haven't been on FSX  for a while but I'd say the layer is at 20K feet or so. I've gone to the weather and looked at all the layers, but it's not there.
You can't see the layer beneath it, but then once you're on top of it, it's a solid white layer.
