I searched each individual one and I found all except one


C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\dxdiag.txt

I am reading the error now it says, the following files will be included in this error report

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.CFG.txt
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\dxdiag.txt
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\scenery.cfg
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\fdr.dat
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\DLL.xml

fsx.cfg should be in that location. Rename it to fsx.bak & try it.

what do you mean

Find the file named fsx.cfg & rename it to fsx.bak to back it up. Then try starting FSX.

Ah well. It was worth a try. I'm out of ideas. Sorry.

If it had worked a new fsx.cfg would have been written when FSX was loading.

wait there is a file named fsx.cfg_Orbx_Backup should I delete it

it said it already exists
the FSX cfg, on the screen it just says fsx, but it is a cfg, also there is a text document titled fsx.cfg but when I click on it it is a cfg
