Blades of grass along edge of runway

I have seen many FSX photos that show vertical blades of grass along the edge of some runways. Is this a built-in effect or part of some payware?

I think that's something done by REX.

Some are part of payware but there are freeware vertical grass blades that you mention...check the section on addons for developers, there are many of all colors and flavors ....you just place the .bgl and .bmp they come with anywhere you like.....

It's defintely not part of REX (I've got it installed). I'll search around some freeware downloads, but it would be great if someone knew a specific file/addon.

Wafu448, I checked the ORBX site but did not find what I'm looking for.

Propwash, I already have REX grass_texturesII that gives very nice detail to the FLAT terrain. Though the first photo actually does show the vertical 3D grass blade for which I am searching, the topic they are really discussing is the ground pattern.

I don't believe there is any addon out there that adds 3D grass to every single airport. But some of the freeware Orbx airports come with it.

Ahh, I see. So it's not much different than modeling a fence around the airport perimeter. I thought it was a general addon. Thanks for clearing that up.
