Unable to install B-25J Mitchell MkII

Postby Chief95 » Sun Jan 24, 2010 5:54 pm

Hi, I downloaded "RAF B-25J Mitchell MkII Package" that has a self installer. I have been unable to install it. After I install it I get the message" successfully installed". But its not there :(.
I am running Win7. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how can I install it?

By "its not there", do you mean its not it the aircraft folder, or you can't find in the Aircraft Section menu?

I just downloaded the package and installed it on my FSX - XP system - displays properly for me. I found it under North American as the manufacturer.

I suspect this is a Win7 "permissions" issue.

in the future, i would create a new folder inside FS(version) to install all "SELF INSTALLERS" in to.  then all you have to do is physically go in and move the AIRCRAFT folder to SIM OBJECTS/Aircraft, effects to effects, gauges to gauges, etc etc.

this way you know that it is installed correctly and not have to say "where the hell did this thing get installed to, and why is it not showing up??"
