Will Windows 7 Improve my FSX performance?

So far its going fine using Xp ,but I wonder if my frame rate will raise  in windows 7 ,Opinions ,advise very welcome please

I am VERY sure it will.  I got a +20 fps increase from Vista UPGRADING, so if you do a full reinstall, I would say that you would get *something within 5-15 fps increase*.  I honestly can't remember my FSX on XP way back when, but I am sure you'll get something.

Yeah, thanks I do Bought VISTA but I had so much trouble with it (hardware among many more things) that the Box became the most decorative object in my computer room (lol) I went back to xp
But I did experience a faster FSX using it like you said about a 15% more frames per sec So due that I'm reading good things and opinions about Windows 7 I thinking to change it.

If you can, be sure to do the complete re-install...  Yes, it will delete everything, but I hear the boost is worth it.  (I was just too lazy, and now I wish I had done it.)  You can always back up links to apps, contacts, personal data, etc...  Even with an in place upgrade, data can be lost and stuff like that.  Happy upgrading, and may good luck be with you.  P.S. be warned that it will take HOURS to do an in-place upgrade.  Full re-install would prob be faster, but still...

I would recommend X64 version myself.

What about Hardware compatability? I have been concitering this option as well. A total system upgrade and a new FSX install.
