Merry Christmas fellow Flight Simmers. I've got a quick question for the helicopter buffs here. I've been flying FSX for several years now. Mostly I've stuck with fixed wing but have been making a serious attempt to become proficient in the helis. I've installed an add on for the Faroe Islands with all the helipads. I was successful at learning the Bell 206 in this pad to pad method but the Eurocopter is an different story. I can fly the things pretty well but landing is another story-a frustrating one at that. Decent and stopping seems to be an imposibility for me. I can slow and hover but at 600 feet above the pad. Than....nothing. It just sits there, not loosing any altitude. To get down to the ground I had to go into a steep power dive and than stand the thing on end and......well, you can imagine how well that worked.
Any advice would be great. Sorry for the rant but I just about broke my joystick trying this.
