hi, is there really any difference between setting the slider to unlimited or a set value.Does either one of them increase performance to any degree. What do the majority use.

Well I have been practicing for the simv air show at 20 FPS(requirement)
and what Ive noticed is it pretty much stays at the target FPS.
With unlimited it will go to any FPS.
I found better performance in my opinion with the target of FPS.

Just my opinion

You are probably not going to see a  huge difference between 40 FPS and 60. What FPS targeting is doing, is limiting the FPS to what you have chosen, therefore freeing up your CPU to do other things such as scenery rendering etc.

By setting the limit, you prevent the occasional freezes or jumps from 40 fps to 10 fps anytime the CPU needs power for something else.  By limiting it down, it allows the sim to run smoother while freeing up resources for other processes.
