FSX Jetway Issue

Postby venomhatch » Sat Dec 12, 2009 10:46 am

Software: FSX
Airport: Any
Planes: Any

Ok here is the issue. If I pull up to a Jetway with any microsoft FSX default aircraft and hit ctrl-j the jetway moves and docks fine to my airliner. And that is parking right where I need to be. Now I use a project opensky airtran 737-700 or any other opensky airliner and park in the exact same spot. The Jetway wont move at all from its default position. Any help??? Id like it to move over and dock just like if I use the default aircraft.

Thanks

PS I also have tried loading it with a default 737-800 and then changing aircraft right at the terminal with it docked to the aircraft, but it pulls away right as soon as the opensky aircraft loads.

That is because the POSKY aircraft is not setup for jetways.  FSX requires information in the aircraft.cfg to tell it where the door is, so the jetway knows where to go.

Ok someone can lock this thread, I did find how to fix this with your first comment. I just looked through the default 737-800 folder and copied the exits portion of the CFG file over to replace the opensky's exits. I did have to make a lil more modding to the cfg in the exit area but it works now.

Here is the end result:

There is actually quite a list of aircraft and coordinates available to get the jetways to work with many other planes.

Check here

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Thanks a lot for that too. I am starting to try an add this to other planes I have added. Thanks again!
