Screenshot issue

Postby pfevrier » Tue Dec 01, 2009 8:16 pm

Hello,

I had an issue regarding the capability of FSX to take screenshots. Whenever I hit V to take a screen, and later on go check out the screenshot, the screenshot is always darker than the image I wanted to take a picture of in-game?
Could anyone help me change that?

Also, if I posted this in the wrong part of the forum I apologize in advance. Thank you!

Does this only happen to the shots taken with the 'V'-key? Or are all shots (e.g. taken with 'print'-key) that dark?

Just the shots taken with the "V" key. I was wondering if it was due to the fact that I was taking screenshots with the built-in capability of the game...
If I use the "Prt Scr" key, where are those screens located on my hard drive, and in what format are the screens taken?
Thanks for your help.

They're copied to the clipboard: just open e.g. MS paint and hit Strg + v (ctrl + v for the english ;-)). Now you can save it as .bmp or .jpeg - whatever you like!  ;)

Believe they go to 'clipboard' and you paste them in 'Paint'.

Another question, where is that Clipboard folder you talked about. I ran a search on my computer, and couldn't find it  :)
Sorry, I feel like Homer Simpson "Press any key... Where's the Any key?!"  ;D
Thanks

The Clipboard is in the virtual memory. It's the Windows feature used for Copy/Cut & Paste.

After taking a shot by pressing the Print Screen key you can paste it into most graphics editing software. It doesn't have to be MS Paint. Either from Edit/Paste on the menu bar or the Ctrl + V keyboard shortcut.

PS. You could always try a multiple screengrab utility like GrabClipSave.
