This may solve the problem I have with no cockpit lights on some planes.

[quote]Download it here. It isn't perfect, but it is just right for those who want to land on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the night. I found the download link on the Hovercontrol.com forums. The person who found it did not put the name of the developer, not even where they found it. But hey, it works and hasn't caused me any issues!

Its missing a couple important aspects of night vision, such as a narrow field of vision and a smaller field of focus. It also seems that if there is no ambient light, it should be darker, especially the ground. Also, you shouldn't be able to see so far...
[glow=yellow,2,300]Don't forget the head splitting headaches and the vision altering side effects from wearing NVGs for hours and hours... ;D[/glow]

:D :o ;D
I agree, but for a simulation it's pretty sweet!

There's nothing like wearing NVG's for 6-10 hours, taking them off, and you're vision is still green.... ;D

You can simulate these two phenomena easily. Go purchase a cheap set of sunglasses with greenish lenses and wear them for approximately 5 minutes after flght sim.
Additionally, get a cheap kitchen timer, set it to two minutes. And every time it goes off, turn to the nearest wall, and head butt it.  Instant headache. Increase impact strength each time, so when you finally land, you are really ready to be done with nght vision.

Last, you may want to consider wearing a ball cap with two rolls of nickels duct tape to the top of the bill. This will simulate the weight pulling your head forward for hours on end.

And after all that, don't forget to have fun!

Wait... was that a tracer?

Maybe I should have an all nigh gaming session with the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for my 360 with the night vision goggles that come with the $150 version.

I like the idea though, when I get FSX I will for sure get this.
