Engine dilemma....

Postby U4EA » Wed Nov 04, 2009 4:35 pm

.....on an add-on aircraft.

I've never run across this difficulty before:  I D/L'd the "Concorde for FSX" yesterday.  The first couple times that I got in it the engines were winding down at the start of the sim and would not (re)start.

I unistalled and re-installed and it worked perfect for three consecutive flights....even did a couple of shutdown and start, and all was well.

Now!  I am getting the the same difficulty and cannot find out what it's trip is.  The engines are winding down at the start of the sim and will not restart even though they wind up but never catch 'ignition'.  I have installed/uninstalled 4 times, all to no avail.

I searched the forums over and can't find where someone has had this difficuty before.  (may have missed it)

Any assist would be greatly apreciated!  This package is the best Concorde freeware that I've seen and I would really like to fix it so the engines will quit pretending to start and actually complete the process.

Thanx in advance!!!

Check the readme file that came with the aircraft.  I might have the wrong aircraft, but I seem to remember that it says once you start FSX, you need to load another aircraft first, end the flight, then load the Concord for the engines to work properly.  Also, in the FSX civil jets section here at Simviation a couple of months back, there was a fix uploaded if I am recalling correctly.
Don't ask an aviator if he flys fighters.
