FSX Not Recognizing Data Bridges

Postby westside » Sat Jul 18, 2009 9:27 am

I recently tried to install new hardware that had its own software that requires it to interface with FSX with a data bridge. Now FSX does not recognize anything that uses a data bridge. (Go-Flight Equipment)
I have tried repairing FSX and reloading the Go-Flight software and even a system restore back a month did not help FSX recognize the the Go-Flight data-bridge. I have removed the new software and hardware until i can restore the system back to the way it was before this happened. One thing that I did while installing the new Hardware software for the first time was I hit Alt+Tab on start-up as instructed by the new software manual. ( The new hardware is a set of Saitek Pro Flight Instruments)
Any help restoring my data bridge capacity would be greatly appreciated.
:(

Thanks
Mark

I have replaced the config file from a point before this took place but with no luck. I am at a loss now as I have exhausted all of my fixes. I will try to talk to the manufacturer (Saitek) and see how helpfull they are.

Wow no response. this must be a bad one. Now I am at the stage where I am about to uninstall FSX and reinstall it. I don't want to lose my saved flights, logbook and rewards. where are they and how to I save them and put them back after the install? The last time I did this I had a nasty time with MS reregistering the thing. After that it has to be the system and not FSX.
:(

Hey Nick N if your out there your expertize would be much appreciated on this one.

Fixed. Instruments work great but my picture has become very jerky without a framerate loss. The next fix to work on

I am experiencing the exact same problem after installing Pro Flight Instrument Panels.
How did you get your goflight gear working? Have you found a fix for the jerkys in FSX, I am getting that also. Not getting much assistance from Saitek. :(
