FSX's kneeboard different than FS9?

Hi all.
I remember from FS9's days that you could have any HTML file in your specific aircraft folder, and that file would have appeared in your inflight kneeboard.

I heard that there are problems depending on the version of Internet Explorer, if the version is too high or something like that.

Thanks for that, that's somewhere nice to start, and sounds reasonable.

My IE version is 6, and my default browser is FF. That might be the issue, although I can't bother d/l and install the new IE and I don't think you can get any older than that :P

Hi all.
I remember from FS9's days that you could have any HTML file in your specific aircraft folder, and that file would have appeared in your inflight kneeboard.

In FSX this doesn't seem to work. I sacrificed my default 172, and I ended up with the desired HTML file showing up in the kneeboard, but I was unable to click on links (the mouse cursor didn't even change to the 'hand' symbol).

Any thoughts?  :)

Yes, the FSX kneeboard is different than the FS9 implementation.

In FSX, you are limited to s single HTML document and links are
not allowed, thus all checklists must be a single 'page' of inline
data.

The FS9 kneeboard functioned like a browser. The FSX one does not.

Thanks Paul for that info. That's a real shame.
