Perfect SETTINGS for FSX?

PLEASE HELP! I spend hours and hours to find a perfect setting for my FSX... but still slow and errors....

just bought new items for my pc:

- XP32bit 2002 with SP3

- Intel Core TM Quad CPU Q9550, 2.83GHz, 4 GB RAM

- Evga NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 2 GB

- Evga Nforce 790i ultra SLI Motherboard DDR3/2000 Mhz SLIready, PCI 1.0 2.0

- 1000w Power Supply

anybody can help??? i am grounded.... THANKS   :'(

Could you please add some info on your problems (Which errors? What's slow?).

thx for response!!!
error: out of memory?
but 4gb on motherboard and 2gb in GTX..

and: no smoth flight, if i open the pfd or mfd from GPS for example in flight ... fsx freeeeze..
i thought with my new hardware i can flight mutch faster:)

4gb of memory and 2gb graphics card?

The way memory works is that 32bit operating systems (and 64bit, but wayyyy higher) have a limit of how much memory they can see and use.

32bit can only see around 3.7Gb memory... As far as I am aware, this is inclusive of the memory of your graphics cards.

3.7-2 = 1.7Gb RAM you actually have. You are not using the whole 4Gb memory you own because some of the memory is taken up by the graphics card.
