Saitek Setting up

Some settings for those that one may be scratching ones head. Best to have notepad and pen to jot down your alterations. All assignments may vary depending on what gear one has and what preferences one may want. Had some differences when adding Acceleration pack. These are only a guide as ones gear may vary to mine and ones own preferences.

Control Settings - Yoke, Quadrant and Rudder. Better to clear all, saves changing back if already used, then select what I have below.

SETTINGS_CONTROLS_CONTROL AXIS

Saitek Pro Flight Yoke
Ailerons Axis X Axis
Elevator Axis Y Axis
Engine 1 propeller axis Y Rotation
Engine 1 throttle axis Z Axis
Engine 2 throttle axis X Rotation

Saitek Flight Quadrant
Engine 1 mixture axis Y Axis
Engine 2 mixture axis Z Axis
Engine 2 propeller axis X Axis

Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals
Brake (left axis) Left toe reverse ticked
Brake (right axis) Right toe reverse ticked
Rudder Axis Rudder

SETTINGS_CONTROL_CALIBRATION One may have to adjust for their own gear.

I deleted the release brakes button (fire-button) as I have the pedal brakes and set a button on Saitek Yoke to set brakes.. One may still have problems with brakes but that is to do with Brakes (right and left axis) and ticking the reverse button. One must set the calibration Brake (left and right axis) sensitivity to about a 100% and null to about 33%.

One may also find that one or more propeller and mixture sliders not going full way. One must go to Calibration advanced and set sensitivity 100% and null 0%. If one finds they have for example by moving mixture to zero and finds their view change or what ever one may have to delete a button setting, check with your properties and see what buttons are operating with that device.

Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals
Brake (left axis) 100% sensitivity 33% null
Brake (right axis) 100% sensitivity 33% null
Rudder Axis did not alter

Saitek Pro Flight Yoke
Aileron Axis did not alter
Elevator Axis did not alter
Propeller 1 sensitivity set full null zero

Saitek Quadrant
Propeller 2 sensitivity set full null zero
Mixture 1 sensitivity set full null zero
Mixture 2 sensitivity set full null zero

SETTINGS_CONTROLS_Button Keys

I had to select a few other buttons and delete some. One can find their own if need be, like Wings Tail hook used for Camsim, Projext Opensky aircraft and other aircraft builders.
Wings fold/unfold shift+D
Tail Hook shift+C had to re assign droppable objects to another key
Aircraft reload shift+J
Nav/GPS select shift+N {these are already assigned (Nav on/off ctrl+N) (OBS adjust shift+V) (Heading adjust ctrl+Shft+H) (Altitude Hold ctrl+Z) (Heading Hold shift+H) (Cowl Flaps open incrementally ctrl+shift+V) (Cowl Flaps close incrementally ctrl+shift+C)}

Aircraft reload shift+J handy if one does alterations to aircraft cfg files etc
Nav/GPS select shift+N {these are already assigned (Nav on/off ctrl+N) (OBS adjust shift+V) (Heading adjust ctrl+Shft+H) (Altitude Hold ctrl+Z) (Heading Hold shift+H) (Cowl Flaps open incrementally ctrl+shift+V) (Cowl Flaps close incrementally ctrl+shift+C)}

These are assigned with acceleration as I found out on getting one myself. So allow for these if one should happen to get acceleration
Hoist arm ctrl+U
Hoist Cable (raise) J
Hoist cable (lower) K
Hoist /sling hook attach release 0
Tail Hook shift+Q changed to shift+C used shift+Q for release droppable objects
Takeoff assist shift+I
Launch Bar shift+U
Takeoff assist shift+spacebar
Nitrous Oxide shift+C deleted
