planes flicker and stutter - this is a tough one

for some time now I havent been able to figure this glitch out. When typically flying multiplayer formations, the planes I am flying with stutter back and forth.

I get the same "flickering" problem with my AI planes when I fly with unlimited FPS.
If I limit my FPS to a reasonnable value, like 25 or 30, the problem dissapears. Perhaps this trick will work in multiplayer too ?

Actually, I've read on these forums that your frame rate should be held at 20 for multiplayer. That coming from a FS2004 fan, I would think FSX is similar.

hmmm. I have always ran my frames on unlimited since I fly a lot around cities, airports, buildings, etc... maybe I can try locking it at 30fps and see what happens.

locking frames made no difference in planes stuttering.  really weird this is happening when my performance across the board is so good.
