The 'Aircraft initialization failure...' message means that FSX can't find the aircraft required for the default flight.
As the red Aircreation Trike is missing and you have no other airplanes in the 'Select aircraft' window, it sounds like you may have messed up the 'Airplanes' folder. Maybe you've inadvertantly moved, deleted or renamed the folder.
Check your FSX install and see if you still have the ..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\ folder, and that the installed aircraft are in this folder.
