Pilot records

Postby pigwiggen » Mon Aug 17, 2009 9:37 am

Having worked my way through most of the Missions at the 'Easy' level, I'm moving up a difficulty level and am wondering if there's any way in which I can delete my past awards and kick off with a blank sheet.

Sorry. You'd have to re-install to 'get-rid' of your awards.

Hi Folks

pigwiggen -
Congrats.
This has to be one of the daftest requests to date.      ;D

Rewards & Missions have to be one of the best concepts introduced in FSX.

If you're still determined to do so,
there's no need whatsoever to reinstall.

Please see relevant file locations at - FSDeveloper - Wiki - Problem Resolving (FSX) - Pilot Records

Be warned.
You will eventually regret deleting them.

What is the point of doing the missions if you don't want their rewards

My question is why does it matter if they are they're or not.

Do you not like awards? :-?

yes you can delete your REWARDS.  simply look inside your FSX main folder for a folder named REWARDS.  ..... um, this is where the REWARDS are kept.

simple enough huh? ::)

No i love the reward system and it is the main reason i do missions :D

I was simply asking why the original poster wanted to do the missions and just wipe the rewards?? Why can't he just simply keep doing the Intermediate missions without deleting the rewards

That is of course your opinion & you're entitled to it. Like many other "new" features in FS this sounds very much like it's based on CFS where medals & promotions are handed out for completing missions. I could never be bothered with that side of it although I got a certain amount of satisfaction by completing the mission. I don't need a paper medal for it. :P

Interesting reaction to my query. Thanks to you all. It arose from my thinking that, having completed almost all of the Missions at the 'Easy' level, I thought to begin again with a clean slate but working through them at the 'Medium' level.
