Weather Problems

Postby EJW » Sun Aug 16, 2009 10:27 am

Whenever it rains or snows it looks like this:

Is there any way to fix this. If I buy REX will it fix the problem?

White on White fly all night.

Red on White you're alright.

Red on Red you'll soon be dead.

ROFLMAO!

I know. I don't get it either. I've got a pretty impressive comp and everything looks great on it...apart from when it rains or snows.

The "warp effect" of rain and snow.  That's pretty much the way it looks in FSX, though.  Or are you seeing the exact same effect for both rain and snow?  Rain usually doesn't have the largish streaks.

The warp effect is what is annoying me. Would REX fix this?

Thankfully I don't like flying when it's either raining or snowing. :)

Wind. :P

Actually, a few days ago it was raining when I went to lunch, but no clouds directly over head, but some off lightly to the west.  I also have some pics somewhere of "Lake Effect" snow from when I lived in Rome NY.  Hardly a cloud in the sky, but it dropped about six inches of snow on the ground.

A fair weather pilot, eh...? ;D

I fly with real world weather, so I get to fly through all sorts of weather. Flying around the world, i've been encountering all sorts of weather, ranging from beautifull sunny skies over Australia, to nasty nighttime thunderstorms over the south pacific.

But when there are clouds, its harder to notice the warp effect of the rain/snow

Bad weather in small GA aircraft.... :o...!

Remember what happened to Harrison Ford flying his DHC -2 Beaver through a Thunderstorm, Andrew!...

When you're out in the middle of nowhere and a thunderstorm develops, what are you supposed to do...?

I'm not going to spend the rest of my life flying around the moderate weather of central california... ;D
