I NEED HELP!!!! downloading planes

I have tried to down load about 10 diffrent planes and I think I follow the instructions perfectly. After the download is done i try to unzip the file and it says that I need to get a " AIR " file from the developer.... any idead on what im doing wrong! im getting sick of using the same old planes and choppers.

im pretty sure its not him.. I used the plane that the instructions suggest to use since the author knows that it is a good plane that works... any other ideas?? and thank you for the help!

Which plane are you trying to download? Maybe we can try ourselves and compare results to better help you.

Is this the message you're seeing?


If so, the message is issued by Adobe AIR, an application installed with the latest versions of Adobe Reader. Here are a couple of forum topics discussing why the error happens, and how to eliminate it:

If your downloads are unzipping properly, you can add them to the sim and they should function properly, regardless of the error.

Are you new to downloading aircraft or are you experienced?

When I first started it took me dozons of attempts to download aircraft as I rushed it and didn't fully understand it all. If so, there are some very clear videos on Youtube to show you through the process.

If you are experienced you may just be going through an unlucky patch. I occasionally come across some aircraft which are almost impossible to apply to FSX due to mistakes made by the developer.

Is it one of Ito's? He usually relies on you to add the finishing touches to some of his models.

yes I am new to downloading aircraft but am 99% sure i followed the instructions perfectly... And yes that is the error that I get when I try to click on the installer. I havent went to the links yet but im sure that they will explain what to do. I will also go to you tube and check that out! Yay!!! it worked all i had to do is uninstall Adobe AIR.. at least thats all I did and it seems to work fine other than one aircraft dosent have sound and the other has no VC it works greaat thanks to every one!!! I would give you a hug if I could now I dont have to destrot my FSX disc!  :D

Here is a good tip for you: Get PK WARE unzipper its free forever and ts easy just click the folder and click next and it goes.....but sometimes it wont due to a problem it will continue but everything wont install
