Virtual cockpit panel/nav light switch

Postby Andyvr » Mon Jun 08, 2009 7:05 pm

This is my first post since registering. I have searched the best I could but couldn't find the problem.

When I press shift + L to switch the panel lights on with aircrafts it comes on but when switching it via the switch in the virtual cockpit it doesn't work at all. This problem only happens on some addon aircraft. (737PIC from just flight and D0-27 X from Digital Aviation.

Has anyone else had this problem at all? Perhaps there is some thing in one of the .cfg files?

Thanks,

Andy

Lights are controlled by the aircraft cfg file of each aircraft

Mind you that if the engines are not running and the generator is not running the lights will run off the battery and that can and does die. 8-)

I have found that sometimes you have to go to the 2D panel to get the light panel to work.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Being a stickler for pseudo realism, I was a bit miffed that I couldn't assign a keystroke combo to NAV lights or the beacon.

Hi all,

Thanks for your replies it's been really helpful. I managed to track the problem down on the Donier 27 to me pressing the wrong switch. In my defence the switches labels are in German in the VC! Also I was pressing nav light switch expecting the panel to come on. I later discovered there was one translated to panel light.

garymbuska I'm interested about the .cfg file you posted. Are the numbered values to do with the colour and brightness of the lights? Also you're right about the battery going flat! I took off and forgot to turn the alternator on so about 20 minutes into flight all the lights turned off  ;D

Anyway thanks again.
