Most joysticks can't hold their axes too well... they jitter a bit... so even when you hit F4, the regular jitter of the throttle axis will pull the levers back again

glad you managed to recalibrate then... if it were on a joystick that doesn't have the calibration screen you'd have a big problem  ;)

Cheers

hey im new to fsx and im having kinda the same problem... my saitek cyborg sd usb gold throttle doesnt work right. i calibrated it a few time sand when i back the throttle all the way down on the joystick the planes throttle only goes down to like 20-25% and on full throttle on the joystick the plane is only at like 75%. what if anything can i do to fix this issue, its really annoying for landing and taking off and aerobatics.

See that the null zones are at most 5% and that sensitivity is maxed out in the FSX controls screen

Hope this helps... oh, and welcome to SimV ;)

Cheers

I use the Saitek Cyborg Evo Force Joystick in FS 2004, and I find that every time I load up the sim, I first have to move the Joystick through its extreme travel in all directions, and also move the Joystick Throttle Lever through its full travel a couple of times to centralise everything....

...otherwise its impossible to control the Aircraft...;)..!

This has to be done EVERY TIME I fire up the Sim, and before I move!

This procedure wasn't necessary with any my previous makes/models of Joysticks...Logitech, Microsoft, etc, ;)...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator... 8-)...!
