Sheesh! I can't believe this. Simple solution - who cares WHY it didn't activate. if it's legit call MS and they will activate it - period. I've had my copy on 3 or 4 different systems, some time at the same time and especially when I was building a new one. Run FSX, get the activation sreen - call MS takes about 5 minuites - activated - go fly.

Sorry, sometimes threads like this just seem towaste a whole lot of time trybing to determine if copy is legiy, how many installs, did you uninstall properly, etc - who cares. the idea is GET ACTIVATED. Take the shortest path - call MS.

sorry 'bout that.

"At a time"
It has been UNINSTALLED

Were the machines you uninstalled it from hooked to the net at the time of the uninstall.

happened to me twice... the activation window told me my copy had been activated too many times...

the first time I was able to activate by using Flight1's registry repair tool... the second time the tool wouldn't do... so I had to call MS

The number for Brazil is incorrect in the dialog... it's a 10+ digit number that starts with an 8... there's no such number here... but I realized it was listed as a toll free number, which are all 0800 numbers... so I just added the 0 in front and I got through

The automated voice prompt solved my problem, and I activated without a hitch... also, I have FSX installed on 2 computers... there's no such thing as being denied activation by having it installed on more than 1 pc... the problem is always related to a bad uninstallation that didn't clear the registry or something, and it screws up your activation

calling MS works, and you don't even have to talk to anyone  ;)

Cheers

Goodness, I shall try another reinstall and ee if that recifies my problem, if not I'll give MSFT a ring and ask them about it.  Thanks for all your help guys, I'll get back to you soon with the result.  I hope they take calls on a Saturday ;)

I have just had an idea.  I'm sure no-one will like it but I shall voice it anyway... If i make a remote controlled plane and set it up so it can be joystick controlled via a computer I could put a camera in a cockpit and an accelerometer and some other cool stuffs and make a real flight simulator.  Thats a project sure to take longer than a call to MSFT, and no I'm not scared, I just don't want to
