i tried that once and it worked right away!  earlier today i had to switch back and forth some 20 times before i got the screen back, but i will try this from now on if i ever get that cream screen again. i don't usually switch much but it's good to have a quick fix :)

thanks for all your help Nick, very much appreciated!!

regards,
Denis

Huh, I sometimes get a glitch similar to that cream screen... only mine is black...

It happens when task switching... if FSX is minimized for any reason, the screen will be black when I bring it up again... Alt-Tabbing, or clicking the taskbar button doesn't help... the only way to get FSX to turn up again and show something is to call up task manager, and hit Switch To...  :P

I've always assumed FSX was a hard switcher, and never paid it much mind... some games just don't like being minimized  ::)

Cheers

is the WINDOW button method working?

If so that tells me it is driver/core design related to FSX

i can confirm that, Nick. i hit the windows key, wait, and then go back to the sim by clicking FSX on the task bar.
