I believe Fr. Bill gave me this link, http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.p ... ation_(FSX)#Installation

It helped me solve this very problem, and explains everything. ;)

Merry Christmas! :)

Thanks Anxyous, I got it going a while back ......

My error was failing to realise the SP2/Acceleration SDK is a *.msi file not an *.exe

Compliments of the season to all

**** edit att. firemonte ***

I found that you need to install the SDK from FSX Deluxe DVD (which is an *.exe file), then update it to the SP1a SDK (also an exe)

The final step is to install the *.msi file from the Acceleration DVD

Most of the documentation states that the Acceleration SDK (the *.msi) is standalone - it is not and requires the previous versions to be installed first.

Good luck with it  :)

No, Acceleration comes with SP2 and an update to the SDK.

You'll need the SP2 for the SDK, along with the Acceleration update (found on the disc like the original SDK) :)

You'll need the Acceleration update as well, but after that it should work :)

Remember to check your dll.xml after installing the updates, to make sure nothing's changed :)

Wait, so I have deluxe edition sp1 without acceleration and the SDK installed. I edited the dll file and nothing shows up. Do I need to install acceleration? I have it, but I never installed it. But, if I do I would need to get the SDK update and it should work fine, right?
lifes a beach.
not.

FSX and SDK must be the same version, so you'll need the SP1a update for the SDK, but I recommend downloading SP2 for both FSX and SDK :)

I'm not sure, what you mean.

You want to take pics of a formation, or fly in the same?

Check out my Tutorial 101, linked in the first post here :)
