Dark Interior Glass Problems-Help Please

I have recently downloaded an FS2004 texture for an FSX AlphaSim F4 Skyray. They are compatable, and works fine with the aircraft apart from the interior glass. The interior glass in VC is really dark (as though i've got sun glasses on) and really reflective. Is there any means of fixing this and how?

Its an incompatibility issue with using FS9 aircraft in FSX/SP2.

The window can be made transparent by editing the corresponding texture file

If the original version works it should be easy enough. Find the appropriate window texture & paste a copy of it into the Texture folder of the repaint.
