Water spray on landing

Postby wsciutti » Mon Feb 23, 2009 4:57 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to reduce, elminate the water spray upon landing on a wet runway? Commenting out the effects 'touchdown' or 'water spray' in the .cfg file have no apparent effect.

Perhaps this is hardcoded into the .air file?

Thanks.

To eliminate it, put // in the beginning of the line in the .cfg.

Anxyous,

Thank you for the quick reply. I did that, but the spray still appears after touchdown which makes me think this effect is also in the .air file.

Yes, in fact deleted the effects portion from the Baron cfg file. The spray still appears if the runway is wet so perhaps it has to do with the wet runway/taxiway itself?

Anyway, many thanks.

You can disable the effects by renaming the file(s). (or moving them to a safe place if you prefer)

In the ....\Effects\ folder:

fx_WheelSnowSpray.fx.disable
fx_WheelWetSpray.fx.disable
