textures not loaded

Hi y'll

After I d/l 3rd party aircraft many of them do not show any or partial textures, only plain white.  I unzip correctly and pace the aircraft per instructions.
Any ideas or clues what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Marv. I suspect you're using the SP2/Acceleration update on Vista. If you have DirectX 10 Preview enabled try turning it off.

Are you using the DX10 preview option ?
Most addons for FSX are not compatible with DX10, which require a certain texture format.
