Bogus Accel. install

When I try to install acceleration it says that I must have FSX to install it. I've had and been playing fsx for about six months, I would think that I have program.

No, I bought it(the duluxe version) at wal-mart.

Have you installed SP1 or SP2?  I believe that when those are installed, it changes the version of FSX, and Accel includes both of these, so it is looking for an unmodified FSX.exe.

If this is the case, you will probably need to uninstall FSX and start clean.
Make sure to use NickN's guides at the top of the board for the best results.

Can I just take off SP1?

If you dont have SP2 installed then yes you can, but if you do have sp2 then it needs to be uninstalled before sp1, then install Acceleration

Reboot after each step and fly a flight.
