blocky screenshots

Postby ejdahunta » Thu Feb 05, 2009 5:55 pm

Wasn't really sure where to post this, but since it's in FSX I decided to put it here. Anyway, I just got my new 9800gt installed and was all psyched to finally be able to run my flight sim well (used integrated graphics before...ugh.)

My resolution is up at 1440 x 900 x 32, I am using AA, anisotropic filtering and all that, and when I take a screenshot, it still looks sorta crappy and blocky, especially when i zoom in just one or two scroll wheels worth (not much) in windows photo gallery. Am i just being picky? Is there some special way to get higher res. screenshots? Sorry if this is a dumb question, by the way.

No, but should that matter? I looks fine when I'm actually playing it. Just not when I go back and look at screenshots that I took. They don't look that bad either, I'm just wondering if there's a way to make them higher res. or something like that.

It absolutely matters. Going by Nicks setup instructions greatly improves FSX as a whole. You have much more tune-ability with nHancer. So set it up as Nick says. He knows what he is talking about!

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.
