Online play

Postby brettt777 » Sun Jan 11, 2009 2:07 pm

I am wondering about online play. I have never done it with FSX. While many sim pilots like to fly the big jetliners and simulate all the traffic and radio calls and all that, I like to climb into a smaller fighter type plane, modern or vintage, and go buzzing through the grand Canyon or the Matanuska Mountains outside of Anchorage or whatever. I am wondering if that can be done online and if there are any others that like to do such things. Follow the leader, canyon racing or even simulated dog fights if you have the aircraft with the right avionics.

Nope this has all been terminated on FSX, you can only fly by yourself.

Just kidding, FSX has sold over 1 million copies, and alot of people fly in what is called virtual airlines. they  set up a pretend airline name, and a certain meeting time and they create a room or other technical stuff and they all fly into and out of a certain airport so everyone gets practice following the rules, and ATC gets practice too.

I flew with a group of people that took off from KGCN (grand canyon) and flew to Las Vegas, hoover dam, to the golden gate bridge, then landed on an aircraft carrier outside or san francisco bay.

I also flew with a group that took off from london, landed in paris, then flew to rome, then landed on an island in the meditarian sea, they do this every saturday morning, they choose a different flight.

If youwant to join a virtual airline, some are pretty dam choose, they want to see yoru flight records and more.

Its too hard for me to stick to 1 specific time to fly with friends so i started my onw 48 states in 48 days thread, where im going to fly to all 48 contigous states in 48 days and take pictures along the way.
