Help with Re-packaged F-16 for FSX

Postby f16arm » Mon Dec 15, 2008 3:13 pm

Soaring eagle put this out and it has a fix for the VC but in the read me it states "If you cannot see out of the VC paste "inglass.bmp" to fix that problem. It works very well! where do I paste this to, and I try to open it and it comes up as drawing failed. Can anyone help????

My suggestion is to spend the $32.50 US on Aerosoft's  FSX F-16 and stop wasting time with a FS2004 plane.

Do not get me wrong, I flew Kirk's F-16 in FSX a lot, but now that Aerosoft has an actual FSX F-16 out I have retired all variations of Kirk's plane.

In the meantime try pasting that inglass.bmp into the Texture folders of your F-16. The reason you get the error message is that it's in one of the compressed Extended BMP texture formats. These cannot be opened in a conventional graphics editing program. You can open it in a texture converter like DXTBmp.

Think I'll use Aerosoft's. The normal cockpit is not (fully)interactive using Kirk's The biggest problem is you can't use mouse look in the cockpit only in the VC. Are there MODS for modern fighterjets from Aerosoft also?? I sometimes get a warning in my f-16 HUD it display's :DVSPD what the hell is that??  ;D

Here's my suggestion, get Falcon 4.0. Once you do that, install ether Openfalcon or Red viper mods, or do what I do and use MultiFalcon to use both.

Assumptions are dangerous. That is simply the "default" vspeed setting. You can use the knob to increase/decrease as you wish.  The a/c is fully capable of +6000 fpm climb...  ;D

Use of such profane words is not acceptable here. Be advised.
