Fresh reinstall-no FSX.exe

Where is this file supposed to be located? Can I simply retrieve the file off the DVD (which one?) and put it somewhere? I ran the repair console, but it didn't put one up either.

fsx.exe should be in the FSX root directory. The default location is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

I suspect you mean the Desktop shortcut. You can create your own by right-clicking on the file & selecting Create Shortcut. Then paste the shortcut to your Desktop.

Wow. I looked and looked. It simply wasn't there.

Now it is. Weird. After I closed the Explorer, and reopened it, it showed up. Thanks though! I feel like a n00b all over again.
