FSGlobal & Ultimate Terrain X together???

Postby Brett Hill 2 » Thu Jan 01, 2009 11:08 am

Does anyone know whether it is possible to use FSGlobal & Ultimate Terrain X together, or does it cause defects in the shore lines and lakes and even sloping water in some places. any one tried this? Can someone let me know whether its worth me buying both?

Thanks

They should be fine together. Highly recommend UTX its excellent will make a big difference to your flying experience as most people will agree.

ok... I will get that, but I still need to know whether anyone has had the experience of running both FS Global and UTX together?
I have noticed that both products enhance the shape of shorelines/rivers and lakes... so would it cause defects there?

Another question I might add...

Does UTX make a difference to frame rate performance for the good or bad?

thanks

I have both installed. Yes I do have the problem of sloping water in a few locations. I just live with it as in most areas the FSGlobal mesh is just super. I think there is a way to fix this but I just haven't got around to doing it yet.

There is a lot of terrain out there and it would take a stack of man hrs to correct all the little errors. At least with FS global. your mountains will look like mountains, its just superrb, even with the little errors. A huge improvement of the default in a lot of areas.
