Looks good. Though, the helicopter shouldn't spin out of control. When you increase the throttle, you may have to slightly kick the left rudder to counter-act the torque......or is it the right rudder  :D

Super Monkey:
In real life, helicopters are the most difficult type of aircraft to operate; so don't be discouraged at all. As others have said, it takes practice, practice and more practice to get the hang of flying them.

Hovercontrol's 'student certification' program is ended, but there's still a lot of folks there who can help you develop and refine your technique. I'm working on another flight vid as well; possibly it'll help you once it's done. :)

The main thing is to keep loving helicopters and to not give up practicing. Believe it or not, it gets easier after a while, but never simple. :)

Cheers!

I've found helicopters to be rather easy, but that's just me. It still took me about a week to hover.

but the KIAS shoot back up to like 20s any clue?

Your nose is probably still tilted downwards, making the helicopter move forward.

Rob Barendregt (the guru of gauges) has created several "Hover" gauges for both FS2004 and FSX but they are aircraft specific.

They may be in the library here but if not, here is a link to the ones for FSX:

http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Sea ... &Go=Search

Hope this is helpful.

flying choppers is tricky because you have to be constantly working with all your limbs upon every control...

in choppers, every action on one control will have a reaction that must be accounted for with other controls, that's the main source of difficulty in flying these things...

for example, pitching forward, besides increasing your speed, will also make your altitude drop, and you must account for it by pulling back on the collective lever... and the same is true in reverse when pitching backward

also, if you find yourself flying backwards (happens a lot to newbies, don't beat yourself up too much if it happens to you) you have to remember that a reversing a heli is in many ways, like pushing on a rope... it will tend to turn in every direction, and will eventually weathercock a full 180
