learn to spell
As harsh as telling a complete noob with only one post (who's first language probably isn't English) to 'learn to spell'? lets at least try to help new members before insulting them & sending them to other sites.
TSC.
I agree - my first reaction was that it was someone who was writing English as it sounds and it was not his/her native tongue. "Learn to spell" comment was rude and uncalled for, IMHO.
Now, to the OP's problem - I noticed he said "certain aircraft" I download. Quite possible he's d/l FS9 a/c that are not compat with FSX. The white windscreen is a common occurrence. There is a fix file posted somewhere but I can't recall it's name.
Vic
but pretty much all of fs9 aircraft are compatible with fsx
but pretty much all of fs9 aircraft are compatible with fsx
and almost 99% of all of them If you have sp1 and sp2
You need to modify the alpha channel of the glass textures with a freeware tool called DXTBMP. This is a fairly common problem with some FS9 aircraft being used in FSX.
Here is a link to the program: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia ... TBmp.shtml
You will need to go into the texture file of the aircraft and locate which one is the glass texture.
Load that texture into DXTBMP and from the menu at the top choose create new alpha channel and select the color of the glass texture as the alpha channel.
Then export that alpha channel. Next choose import alpha and select the one you just created.
Next apply the alpha channel and then save the texture file as a DXT3.bmp format.
That should fix the problem.![]()
